Snap your plate, or just say what you ate.

Aklti knows kabsa, mansaf, shawarma and stuffed vine leaves, and it understands “I had half of it”. The calories come from a food database, as an honest range, never a made-up number.

Aklti’s “Your daily goal” screen: 1674 kcal a day, about 0.5 kg less a week, and the protein, carbs and fat split.

Log a meal in three steps

  1. A bowl of fava beans with oil and cumin, illustrative image

    Snap

Photograph the plate, or the whole tray. The photo is analysed once, then deleted.

  2. The “Describe your meal” screen with the text: Had a plate of lamb kabsa and a glass of milk.

    Say

No time for a photo? Type or say what you ate, the way you’d say it: “Had a plate of lamb kabsa and a glass of milk”.

  3. The “Review your meal” screen: lamb kabsa ≈ 960 kcal with All, Half, A quarter and Twice, milk ≈ 150 kcal, total ≈ 1110 (870–1350).

    See

Check the foods and amounts, fix anything in one tap, then log it. Nothing is logged before you’ve seen it.

It knows the food we actually eat

From a breakfast of ful or shakshuka to kabsa for lunch and shawarma for dinner. If a dish isn’t in the database, Aklti breaks it down into its ingredients, and each ingredient is counted from the database.

Numbers with a source

≈ 1110

870–1350 kcal

A plate of lamb kabsa and a glass of milk, as shown in the app.
  • AI only recognises the food and how much of it there is. Calories, protein, carbs and fat come from a food database (USDA FoodData Central).
  • A photo is not a scale, so every number is an estimate (≈) with a range.
  • If a value is missing, we tell you the total is an underestimate. We never fill it in with a guess.
  • Change any food or amount, and save your own dishes with your own ingredients and amounts.
The fava beans screen: ≈ 190 kcal per cup (≈ 170 g), protein ≈ 13 g, carbs ≈ 33 g, fat ≈ 0.5 g.

Your day is a tray, and your goal is its rim

The ring is your daily goal, worked out from your age, height, weight and activity. Each meal is a plate on its rim.

The “Today” screen: the goal ring with ≈ 708 of 1674 kcal left today, meal plates on its rim, and protein, carbs and fat below.
The “Your progress” screen: days with food logged 7 of 7, calories by day, and average protein, carbs and fat.
The “A full week” badge celebration: you logged your food 7 days in a row, with a share button.
  • See your week on one page, and log exercise by hand.
  • Badges for logging and moving, never for eating less. Share them, or turn them off.
  • Meal reminders at the times you choose. Missed a day? No guilt.

Questions people ask

Is Aklti out yet?

Not yet. It’s coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. To hear when it’s out, write to support@aklti.app.

How accurate are the numbers?

They are honest estimates. AI recognises the food, the values come from a food database, and each number is shown with ≈ and a range. You review and edit everything before it’s logged.

Do you keep my food photos?

No. A photo is sent once to be analysed, then deleted.

Can I use it if I have a health condition?

Aklti is a nutrition tracking tool, not medical advice. With pregnancy, breastfeeding, insulin-treated diabetes, kidney disease or an eating disorder, the app sets no calorie target and no weight-loss plan. Talk to your doctor.
